Milled Sweet Chestnut Shingles
Milled shingles made from Sweet Chestnut-
To make our shingles long lasting and durable we use only the very best heartwood to produce our milled shingles. Moreover we use only premium Sweet Chestnut in our sawmill. High levels of Tannins within the wood protect the shingles from decay, rot and also attack. You can read more about Sweet Chestnut HERE.
Milled shingles can be used for a variety of different applications such as a handsome and protective addition to walls and roofs.
Each Sweet Chestnut milled shingle is 1/2″ thick, 12″ long and can vary in width from 4″to 8″. These milled shingles are not feathered and instead are milled flat.
Our milled Sweet Chestnut shingles are £64 per square metre (approximately 50 tiles.)
